Wandeltochten door de bergen - Wandelen

The valley and region par excellence, ideal for wandering and hiking, are inherent to the valley's activities. The region, with its ascending and descending surface and trails, has over 2.500 km of routes, which are supported by online guidance or physical signposting. Be assured of accesible trails, a broad palette of trails that pleases anyone, and most certainly wonderful, breathtaking views.

Strand - Prachtige witte pittoreske stranden

The southeast coast of Spain is known as the Costa Blanca for a reason: the white coastal strip between, roughly, Valencia and Cartagena offers numerous small bays and calm sand beaches. Moreover, in spring The Jalón Valley is adorned by blossoming almond - and cherry trees that provide a beautiful white-pinkish decoration throughout the valley.

Amandelbloesem - In februari staat de vallei in bloei met witte roze bloemen aan de amandelbomen.

In February, you are treated with almond blossom of unparalleled beauty. It covers the valley with a pink-white sheet of subtle flowers and a pleasant scent that heralds spring. The 'almond month' absolutely is worth a visit, and provides you with the opportunity to enjoy friendly rays of sun combined with a pleasant breeze of fresh air.

"The curse of Spain (or the blessing, if you wish) is that endless coastline that attracts and swallows everything because the sun covers it. If the Jalón Valley would have been situated on the Cote d’Azur, it would be a case of 'death by tourism'. Actually, we are glad that this is not the case, but on the other hand I cannot stand the idea that, an hour's drive from Valencia and Alicante, there is a completely unknown world, where millions of solar hunters race past every year, if not fly over it.

Climate, stubbornness, the forgiveness of fate, and literal absence have preserved a lot in the Jalón Valley, and the result is that you can temporarily live in the illusion that the world is not as chaotic, wild and fleeting as the newspapers and other news make us believe.”
